Dean Schmidt, Johnston Woods Property Manager, joined the staff on May 1, 2004.  Dean and his wife, Barbara, moved here from Indiana and were previous owners of a landscaping company.  Dean's talents in outdoor maintenance and groundskeeping have been evident as you drive through the property and see the many areas now being professionally maintained.

Barbara Schmidt, Assistant to Johnston Woods Property Manager, joined the staff with her husband, Dean, on May 1, 2004.  Barbara works closely with each group that visits Johnston Woods and spends much of her time cleaning and maintaining the facilities in preparation for each new group visiting the property.  Barbara is always available to assist with the needs of groups using the facility.

 Berta Silcox, Johnston Woods Reservations Secretary, joined the staff August 16, 2010.  Berta is very knowledgeable about the facility and works with each individual group leader to ensure their visit is a positive one.  Berta handles all the reservation and tour scheduling, billing and accounts receivables for Johnston Woods.  Visit our Calendar page and contact Berta to get more information on how your group can utilize Johnston Woods. 

Angie Parris, Johnston Woods Food Services Manager, joined the staff on May 1, 1994 and spends half of her time managing food services at Johnston Woods and the other half at Broad Street United Methodist Church.   Angie manages the food services staff and gets excellent reviews on her food preparation.  Be sure and visit our Food Services page for details and prices.
