• 1947  Johnston Woods Property deeded to Broad Street Church
• 1955  Broad Street Church secured an easement for the roadway into property from Bachman Home Board
• 1956  Administrative Board approved construction of the first "permanent" building on the property
• 1974  Broad Street Church signs agreement with Hiwassee Land Company to share cost of new access road
• 1977  Pavilion constructed overlooking a two-acre lake along with a bathhouse
• 1986  R.B. Hurt Lodge and cottages were completed
• 2006  Additional parking area added near Lodge
• 2008  Fire pit and outdoor seating area added near cottages
